I’m picking up my homemade gingerbread house from my friend Belinda today. I’m so excited! So I’ve been on a search for creative decorating ideas. This is what I did with my house last year…
Check out these cute gingerbread houses I found on my search.

EVERY YEAR I GET TOGETHER WITH MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS FOR THE “ANNUAL GINGERBREAD HOUSE” CONTEST. THIS YEAR I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH MY HOUSE OF CHOICE TO CONJURE UP 🙂

I wish I could find directions to the cake house that my son and I made when he was about 3 or 4. I can’t find the pictures of it either – we did it back in 1980 and I found the directions in a magazine. You started out with a chocolate cake mix made in a 9 x 13 pan. Then you cut that rectangle into pieces so that the “house” had 2 layers of cake and then the left over square was cut into triangles for the roof. Then you decorated it with frosting and candies just like a ginger bread house!
Stop it right this second! You did great last year. Look at your creative fence : ) I can’t wait to do ours. I usually just use what is in the box but this has inspired me to try something new : )
