I’m excited to announce I will be featuring guest mom bloggers! Today is the kick-off day!
I will be introducing you to a few ultra cool and crafty moms who are also work from home graphic designers like myself. I hope you enjoy their ideas as much as I do! Find out more about this week’s guest on my sidebar.
I absolutely love this idea and can’t wait to do this with my kids! – Amy

As we evolve into the gift-giving season, I like to remind my children that it is important for them to be givers as well as receivers, and how much fun the process of giving can be.
So here’s a cute little project we did a few years ago as Christmas gifts for Jeff’s dad, aka: Papa.
Using inexpensive craft canvas boards and acrylic paint, the kids painted sweet and simple self portraits. I drew basic pencil lines on the boards to keep the artwork consistent in layout, leaving an area at the bottom for names. We attached plate hanging hardware to the backs and they each wrapped their own.
The portraits now hang in their father’s old childhood bedroom at their Papa’s house and I just love seeing them whenever I visit.
